W Hall Ltd - The Last 40 Years
W Hall Ltd became a limited company on the 11th July 1977, prior to this the company had traded as a partnership. To commemorate our 40th anniversary we’ve pulled together a timeline covering the significant moments in the life of W Hall Ltd.
1974 – Traded as a partnership specialising in spare parts and electric vehicle repairs
1977 – 11th July 1977 W Hall Ltd began trading as a limited company
1979 – W Hall Ltd were awarded a Jungheinrich MIC Pallet Truck franchise
1980 –Awarded the Crompton industrial battery franchise covering battery and chargers for all electrical vehicles
1983 – Awarded the full Jungheinrich Forklift Truck franchise.
1987 – W Hall Ltd awarded exclusive Nissan forklift franchise for Northern Ireland. Due to the size of the Nissan operation the company expanded from their premises in Carryduff to larger premises at our current home in Mallusk Newtownabbey
1989 – Change of Nissan distributor in the UK from AFG to Nissan Motor GB
1991 – Awarded Oldham traction battery franchise
1992- Awarded Varta traction battery franchise
1995 – Purchased our first tractor unit and low loader to allow forklift transport throughout Ireland.
2000 – Became Nichyu distributor
2005 – Became Icem distributor
2006 – Awarded the Crown industrial equipment franchise
– Branched into airport equipment maintenance and began a contract with Menzies Aviation
2007 – Became a Hubtex distributor
2014 – Awarded the Haulotte franchise for access platforms and telescopic handlers
2015 - Nissan Forklift is bought over by TCM, W Hall Ltd are now an exclusive TCM franchise
